Partnership & History
Real Madrid has offered us many sporting legends during its more than 100 years history. It’s a club with over 200 trophies in its cabinet and it is sure to add more to those in the very near future. Universidad Europea is holding a leading position in Spanish private higher education; it is the biggest private university in Madrid and one of the top 3 private universities in Spain.
In 2006, Real Madrid started its joint venture with Universidad Europea (UE) sharing a great international vocation. It was Real Madrid’s then president Florentino Pérez who initially encouraged that partnership. Emilio Butragueño, ex-Real Madrid striker and the current director of the Real Madrid Graduate School-Universidad Europea told SportsBusiness: “Pérez’s extensive business knowledge revolutionized the way in which the club was run and his arrival paved the way for a new and very successful management model which involved maximizing the club’s resources.”

In 2023, the graduate school received around 1.000 students – 78% of our students come from over 75 different countries. The multicultural profile of the teaching staff and students, coming from more than 70 different nationalities, add a unique value to the school’s graduates.
Nowadays Real Madrid Graduate School-Universidad Europea offers 36 graduate programs with the mission of training the future leaders of the sports industry.

Campus
With the goal of providing practical education, the graduate programs are taught in state-of-the-art facilities: the Real Madrid facilities at its brand new Sports City and Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, as well as Universidad Europea de Madrid’s campuses in Alcobendas (Madrid) and Villaviciosa de Odón (Madrid). Most classes are held at the modern UE Madrid Alcobendas campus.
During the Master you’ll have the chance to visit the Real Madrid City, the biggest sports complex ever build by a football club. Students of some master degrees will also enjoy practice sessions together with the club’s professionals, masterclasses with the club executives, or the professional internships.

Get Together Event
At the beginning of their studies all graduate students enjoy their own football championship at the Real Madrid City. The “Get Together” event serves as a “Welcome Day” for all the new students of the Graduate School and its main goal is that students get to know each other from the beginning of the school year, network and establish contacts via a passion they all share: SPORTS.
White Week Event
This event is one of the best experiences for a sports management student, both from a managerial and an operational viewpoint. During White Week, students take part in the day-to-day operations of Real Madrid C.F., visit the headquarters, meet directors of the club and executives of the sports industry, and join masterclasses. You will receive hands-on learning and apply the knowledge you have gained throughout your studies.
White Week includes:
- Exclusive event at the newly renovated Santiago Bernabéu Stadium with insight into the day-to-day operations of Real Madrid C.F.

Programs – Prices & Dates
Universidad Europea uses a semester system for both full-degree students and semester abroad students studying to receive credit towards their home degree system. The semester system is equivalent in course load and duration to a three-trimester system. Students can start their studies in January or September.
Entrance Examinations/Registration Fee
Entrance Examinations Fee for campus-based programs at the Madrid campus cost €150. By paying this fee, you confirm that you are participating in the University’s admissions process. This fee will not be refunded under any circumstance.
Students who apply through PRODIREKT do not pay the €150 Registration Fee.
Study Place Reservation Fee
The study place reservation fee represents the student’s confirmation of their place acceptance and their wish to continue with the procedures to enroll at the University. This fee is part of the total tuition and must be paid prior to enrollment. The fee to reserve a place depends on the degree chosen; please see the Academic Fees/Pricelist below for more information.
Tuition Fee
Tuition Fees vary depending on the Master’s degree program you choose. The tuition fee ranges from 14,500 euros to 31,400 euros per year for international students.

Scholarships
Universidad Europea has one of the broadest scholarship and financial aid programs. In order to apply for the scholarship, you must have paid the reservation fee in advance and submit the scholarship application form.
You also need to attach the following documentation to your application:
- Declaration of income of the household
- Academic Certificate from your completed Baccalaureate studies.

Admission Requirements
To apply for Master’s programs at Universidad Europea, you must meet the general and specific entry requirements. And for some programs, you also have to go through some tests.
Documents required from students:
- Official copies of degree certificates and transcripts of your academic record (English version of the document)
- Any award certificates
- Passport copy
- A CV and a motivational letter
- Evidence of English proficiency if you are a non-native English-speaking student. You have the possibility of proving your English proficiency at Universidad Europea through their internal assessment.

We will schedule a Skype/Viber/Zoom interview with you, so that we can make a final assessment of your English level and determine if the program is right for you.

If we conclude that you are eligible to apply for the program, PRODIREKT advisors will help you submit your Universidad Europea application online and upload electronic copies of your documents to support your application. We will also check with the college if the program you desire to enroll is open (currently accepting applications).
