01-AUG-2024 | On August 1st, our team at PRODIREKT and Verbalists Education was thrilled to be invited by our esteemed partners at Dukes Education to tour their renowned summer schools in Oxford. The day offered a fantastic opportunity to further strengthen our long-standing partnership while discussing student enrollment strategies and planning the road ahead. More importantly, it allowed us to gain deeper insights into the exceptional educational opportunities available to our students through these premier summer programs.
Touring SBC’s Premier Oxford Schools
During the day, we visited several renowned schools and colleges that host the Summer Boarding Courses (SBC), a division of Dukes Education. Founded in 2008, SBC has grown into a leader in residential summer schools and day camps, consistently recognized for its outstanding learning programs tailored to students of all ages.
Headington School: Shaping Future Global Leaders
Our tour began at Headington School, where we were introduced to the comprehensive summer programs designed for students aged 13-16. Located in a secure, scenic setting just outside Oxford’s city center, Headington School offers an inspiring mix of historical charm and modern facilities. Students can choose from a variety of engaging courses, such as General English, Future Global Leaders, Future Business Leaders, and even specialized tracks like Future Doctors & Future Scientists. One of the highlights is the “Time to Shine” element, which encourages students to apply their knowledge and deliver presentations on thought-provoking topics.
Camp Dragon: A Nurturing Space for Young Learners
Our next stop was Camp Dragon, home to the Young Explorers program for students aged 8-12. The vibrant, supportive environment at Camp Dragon reflects SBC’s dedication to creating safe spaces for young learners to grow academically and socially. The program blends thematic lessons with engaging activities, making the learning experience enjoyable and immersive for young minds.
St Hugh’s College: A Gateway to the Oxford Experience
One of the most inspiring parts of our tour was St Hugh’s College, where students aged 15-17 have the unique opportunity to study in the hallowed halls of Oxford University. Known for its serene gardens and inclusive atmosphere, St Hugh’s offers students the chance to engage with tutorials, lectures, and industry workshops delivered by leading academics. Our collaboration with Dukes Education opens this world of knowledge to students from developing countries, allowing them to experience the academic life of Oxford scholars.
Wadham College: Academic Excellence in a Historical Setting
The day continued with a visit to Wadham College, another iconic location where Dukes’ Oxford College Summer School takes place. With its rich history and academic excellence, Wadham College offers an inspiring environment for students preparing for university life. The college’s focus on academic and personal growth ensures that students are ready to embark on their future academic journeys with confidence.

Lunch at Browns Restaurant: Sharing Ideas and Planning for the Future
We wrapped up our visit with a lunch at Browns Restaurant, where our team had the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with senior management from Dukes Education. This informal setting provided the perfect opportunity to discuss future initiatives and further strengthen our partnership, all while exploring ways to continue delivering exceptional educational experiences for students from all backgrounds.
