Recently, our Programs Manager and Young Learners Coordinator, Rada Stojsin, had the privilege of attending a familiarization trip (fam-trip) to David Game College (DGC) in London and Bath. In this update, we share highlights from our visit, including our interactions with key figures, insights into DGC’s facilities, and the exciting new developments we have planned.
David Game College (DGC), an esteemed independent college with a long-standing reputation for academic excellence, offers GCSEs, A-Levels, and specialized summer programs in the heart of London.
For our academic LONDON program, we have strategically chosen David Game College as our partner, confident that their comprehensive approach will continue to provide an extraordinary learning environment for our students. This trip allowed us to dive deeper into their offerings, including the Career Pathway Programs we will be introducing to further enhance student development.
A Warm Welcome: Social Gatherings with David Game and His Team
Following the ST Alphe Conference, our visit kicked off with an evening dinner at Côte Brasserie in the scenic St Katharine’s Docks. Joining us was Mr. David Game, founder of DGC, alongside his key team members.
The dinner was more than just a formal affair – it was an opportunity to connect on a personal level. Mr. Game’s stories of his travels and his philanthropic efforts in helping low-income students and refugees in the UK truly resonated with us. His vision of creating educational opportunities for all aligns with PRODIREKT’s mission to support students from developing countries in accessing quality education in the West.
The lively atmosphere of the evening continued as we shared plans for Mr. Game to visit Serbia, where the PRODIREKT Group has a head office for East and Southeast Europe, with the goal to explore together the Fruska Gora Wine Route. These genuine interactions made us feel more like collaborators in a shared educational journey than simply business partners.
Exploring David Game College, London: Blending Tradition and Modernity
The next day, we visited David Game College’s London campus, which offers the perfect mix of historic charm and modern educational facilities. The state-of-the-art student accommodation includes 150 single rooms, with options for en-suite or shared bathrooms, and modern kitchens shared by small groups. The college building itself, recently restored, blends contemporary learning spaces with the elegant architecture of old London. A collection of artwork curated by Mr. Game over the years lines the hallways, adding an inspiring and creative touch to the environment.
As our students prepare for academic LONDON – our premier summer program focusing on both academic excellence and cultural immersion – this setting will continue to provide them with the tools and surroundings they need to thrive.
A Journey to Bath: Tradition, Education, and Charm
On the second day, we made our way to Bath, a city renowned for its Roman history and ties to Jane Austen. After arriving, we were treated to an authentic English tea experience at Sally Lunn’s Historic Eating House. The day was filled with cultural discoveries and personal connections, as we explored Bath’s charming streets and historical landmarks.

We enjoyed traditional scones with cream and jam, complete with helpful instructions on the proper way to eat them. The place exudes charm and coziness, making it feel as though Jane Austen herself might walk through the door at any moment.
Bath Academy, part of the David Game Group, offers a different but equally appealing learning environment compared to the modern London campus. Here, the focus is on creating a close-knit, family-like atmosphere where students feel supported. We were particularly impressed by their commitment to helping students who may not have succeeded in traditional settings. Their personalized approach, along with a strong sense of community, complements our focus on supporting students from developing countries who often need tailored learning experiences to achieve their full potential.
Innovative Learning at David Game College: A Forward-Thinking Approach
Our final day was dedicated to understanding more about David Game College’s innovative educational programs. In addition to their strong academic offerings, DGC emphasizes extracurricular and hands-on learning opportunities. Students are encouraged to lead workshops, learn new languages from their peers, and engage in collaborative projects. This dynamic environment is precisely why we chose DGC as the home for academic LONDON and why we are excited to introduce the new Career Pathway Programs.
One of the highlights of our trip was meeting with Alexander Vansittart, the college’s Learning Coach. He introduced us to an exciting new project involving the integration of AI into the learning environment. As PRODIREKT has been a pioneer in edTech through our Education Beyond Borders initiative – a highly regarded LinkedIn group and podcast that brings together top professionals and experts – this AI project was particularly inspiring. We see this as another step forward in preparing students for the future, and we’ll continue to explore these innovations in upcoming collaborations with DGC.
