How to become skilled and independent just after high school, studying and working in Canada was Slavo’s way

When one organization grows together with its students, then that is a true success story. We very much enjoyed being a part of Slavo’s youth. Our student Slavko Slavo Apostolov attended several Verbalists programs. When he was 16, we enrolled him in the Manchester United football & English school in the UK. Slavo came back from that prestigious football camp excited, happy and with a Best Player award. At 18, he attended Verbalists’ most popular language travel program – My LONDON. Last year, upon finishing his high school, that charming young man came to us again, this time for our guidance about study abroad opportunities.

Slavo at the famous Old Trafford stadium

PRODIREKT education and academic advising group, who owns the Verbalists Language Network, is often approached by high school graduates and young professionals in search for their next career move. Slavo, who at his young age already became a professional soccer player in Serbia, had the usual dilemma – should I go to university or just take another English course, or should I just start gaining work experience right away. And if university, which one? Should it be in country or abroad? What if I start university and don’t like it or can’t finish it? After talking to Slavo and his parents, we felt that for him the best option might be a one year ILAC International College program in Canada, which can practically serve as his gap year. READ MORE

Getting to know the best Spanish schools up close and personal – FEDELE Workshop 2019

As a leading academic consultancy and language education agency in Europe, PRODIREKT, with its Verbalists Language Network, was once more invited by FEDELE to participate in the most important language travel event in Spain. This year the Vamos! Spanish in Spain FEDELE Workshop took place from September 29 to October 1 in the cities of Valencia and Denia. After the main workshop, PRODIREKT representatives took a 3-day long familiarization trip to Seville, Cadiz and Marbella to visit the Spanish schools in those cities as well.

The FEDELE Workshop is well known for its innovative format, which is based on social networking, offering cultural, touristic and gastronomic activities. The event organizers didn’t change that winning formula in Valencia and Denia and repeated the success from the previous years. This time we had an opportunity to visit ten schools and to have numerous meetings with the owners and directors of 31 schools that participated in the workshop. READ MORE

In search of best boarding schools, Stonar

In September, the representatives of PRODIREKT, together with a small selected group of other agents, were invited by Stonar, a leading UK boarding school, to be their guest for a couple of days and to visit their premises. Stonar laid on an exclusive coach to transport the group to the school. The guidance and care offered by schools’ representatives as soon as we boarded the bus in London signaled something very pleasantly different. Kasha, Rachel and Judy made sure that we didn’t miss anything…and that didn’t stop until we sadly parted company with them at the end of our familiarization trip. What follows is our testimonial to what we experienced and just a taste of what our students and their parents can expect to find at Stonar. READ MORE

Student testimonials, our perspective

Schools & Agents (S&A) interview with Dejan Trpkovic, PRODIREKT, published on 27 November 2018:

The Importance of Student Testimonials – An Agent’s Perspective

In this day and age selling has become quite an aggressive business – be it the selling of tangible products as well as the selling of services. Education, is by no means an exception to this rule. Nowadays we are living in a world which uses every possible medium to spread the world about whatever it is that Company X or Business Y has to offer. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that when it boils down to making a decision about their future, students all over the world need all the reassurance they can get.

One way for students to get reassurance is through hearing about the experience of others through student testimonials. Our long-term partners at PRODIREKT and Verbalists created an interesting (and useful) discussion group on LinkedIn, which has quickly grown its membership to more than 1,300. That group, COMMUNICATION AND LANGUAGES, which you may find and join here, recently published a discussion subject, raised by Dejan Trpkovic, Managing Director of PRODIREKT and Founder of the Verbalists Language Network, dubbed “Importance of Student Testimonials.” So we decided to contact Dejan and speak to him in a little bit more detail about his views on the importance of student testimonials from the point of view of an established education consultant: READ MORE
