Getting to know the best Spanish language schools up close and personal – FEDELE Workshop 2019

As a leading academic consultancy and language education agency, PRODIREKT, with its Verbalists Language Network, was once more invited by FEDELE to participate in the most important language travel event in Spain. We had an opportunity to visit ten Spanish language schools and to have numerous meetings with the owners and directors of 31 schools that participated in the workshop.

14–OCT–2019 | This year the Vamos! Spanish in Spain FEDELE Workshop took place from September 29 to October 1 in the cities of Valencia and Denia. After the main workshop, PRODIREKT representatives took a 3-day long familiarization trip to Seville, Cadiz and Marbella to visit the Spanish schools in those cities as well.

The FEDELE Workshop is well known for its innovative format, which is based on social networking, offering cultural, touristic and gastronomic activities. The event organizers didn’t change that winning formula in Valencia and Denia and repeated the success from the previous years.

The so called Destination Fair was a particularly informative and lively part of the event. The schools’ representatives showed us the advantages and values of the different regions in Spain in a very creative and dynamic way…drinking, eating and singing included. Once divided in groups, we agents, took turn from table (region) to table (region) to learn more about Spanish language destinations. PRODIREKT started in Alicante/Castellon and finished in San Sebastian for the total of six virtual travel adventures. The second day of the workshop, we made a trip to Denia, historical coastal city, which was, despite the hot weather, very enjoyable, as was the tour of the TLC Denia school. The boat ride to the famous restaurant Pa Picar Algo in Baleria Port offered great views of Denia and its iconic castle from the sea. During the lunch, in a relaxed atmosphere, more business talks were held and friendships made or enhanced.

The magnificent City of Arts and Sciences cultural and architectural complex of Valencia was the venue for both – the speed meetings and for hammering out the cooperation details between schools and agents, as well as for the final gala dinner.

The familiarization trip to Seville, Cadiz and Marbella, which followed after the workshop in Valencia, gave us an opportunity to visit the school premises of our existing partners and get to know up close and personal the new ones.

We are finishing this brief Spanish language schools travel log with the fascinating flamenco show at Museo del Baile Flamenco in Seville. It was an absolute treat and the best way to reinforce our excitement about helping our students discover the beauties of Spain and the Spanish language.
